Brushfire =Historia Rodentia= (http://www.on-the-lamb.com/) is a skirmish type miniatures game. It follows a "tongue-in-cheek" parody of Earth's territorial history and military campaigns. Most of the different factions/armies are formed from around the 16 th century but will span 200 years plus or minus, to a degree.

Before I continue I would like to point out that YES, I do know the game company on a personal basis. They play @ my LGS and have demo'd and developed it, to a degree, there as well. No I am not getting paid or compensated in anyway. I feel this is a fantastic game that breaks the mold of most main stream miniatures games we have been fed for the past few years since the Privateer Press explosion of followers.

I am not going to spout off forever, I am going to just mention a few key note things I really enjoy from the game.

*Fantastic campaign rules.
*Unique 3 value cost buying system for the troops. (this really escalates the campaign game)
*Activated turn swapping. (you move one, I move one, you move one...)
*Fast a free unit forming on the fly. (you do not have to activate the entire unit, at any time you can seperate them as a unit and move single models out AND bring them back together at your own will. Really adds a whole new level of strategy(
*Responding actions to charges (if you get charged, you can do 3 different things, stand your ground, attack back or run away...as long as you have not activated this turn. Again, adds a whole new level of tactics to a game beyond making combos with single models powers.)
*Tongue-in-cheek humor. (Hamster Berserkers commonly referred to as, Tiny Terrors...really great stuff. Moleon II, a parody of Napoleaon, good stuff.
*Really good rules for buying and using siege and anti-siege equipment (trenches, ladders etc)
*Cheap start up cost. (250 something page rulebook $25, start up box and a hero addition will cost you roughly $40)

Going to stop there, bunch more though.

I am really enjoying this awesome and NEW game. They just made their first real BIG debut at Gen-Con and I feel they would be a great addition to the WarStore line and the gaming community as a whole.
