Having recently gotten into the gave via the new PC version, kind of makes me want to explore the Table Top version. All the BB stuff is out of production right?
Any reports of it going back into production or being picked up by Rogue Trader or something??

As far as I know, most if not all the BB products are still available (the boxed game and all the team miniatures). The problem is that GW now only sells their Specialist Games (Blood Bowl, Battlefreet Gothic, Warmaster, etc.) by direct sales and not through the normal retail outlets.
Not having it in stores is I think stupid, as it really limits the general interest in the games. Since people don't see them they don't even know about them or think they are simply OOP. :(

That is stupid, but it's been a long time since I thought anything different about GW. It's a shame as a lot of the specialist games are quite good. Easy to get burnt out on them quickly but with some moderation I've enjoyed about all of them. Necromunda, Gothic, etc...
I thought that the new PC game might spark some BB interest, but if it's only direct sales...yeah...not so much

I love the specialist games. When I was younger, I liked using the "official" models for the teams and gangs and whatnot.
However, now I find that I get a lot more gratification through converting. The results look far better and you get more bang for your buck. Take for example blood bowl. I used fantasy beastmen and fantasy chaos warriors. The models are a lot more dynamic and look nicer. You only need to clip the weapons off of the hands and maybe glue on some armor pieces and they are far easier to convert for mutations then the metal "official" models.
I say, find a team or two you like and buy the regiments boxes. You might even have a buddy who will go halves with you if they are making a similar team.

I am told that you can get a lot of good info on the game these days from this site
