Uncharted Seas, Tell me about it

I have only heard good things about this game. That said, the things I have heard are very limited in content.
Can anyone give me a good rundown on the game?

Uncharted Seas is a blast to play. Simple, effective movement and combat make the game fun to play. The cards for each faction add a level of randomness that adds to the gameplay.

We've played many games where it looks like a player is done for and then the game turns at the last minute with a ramming action or repair card that keeps the "doomed" player in the game.

why yes they do, each starter fleet contains that factions cards.

My advice is to grab a couple of fleets and play with your friends. They will want their own fleets before you know it! The company does a great job of keeping updated rules on their website.
