Default Question: SM Bike Squadron
I was recently referred to this site and I was curious as to what *specifically* is included in the SM Bike Squadron. http://www.thewarstore.com/product53235.html

I am mainly wondering if the Squadron is just 3 identical single biker sprues (as pictured) and if I would also need to purchase bits to create a sergeant or add special weapons, meltaguns in particular.

Also, how is the meltagun mounted on a SM Bike? I assumed it would be handheld but the sprues seem to show the biker's hands seated firmly on the handlebar.

Lastly, if a modeller reading this, how would you do a Command Squad biker with a Lightning Claw, Meltagun, and Stormshield riding a bike? The best I can think is either a "Look Ma, no hands!" and mounting the shield on the front of the bike. I've been thinking about using Ravenwing or White Scars bits to set them apart from vanilla bikers.

Thank you for your time.

Default Re: Question: SM Bike Squadron
i do indeed have answers for you,
The bike squadron on sprue is just 3 bike sprues, nothing else.

The meltagunner that comes with the bike squadron Box is a metal torso with the one arm attached to it. A space marine holds the special weapon, its not bike mounted.

and in my opinion as a modeler would be to sling the shield over his back, shooting the melta one handed, and steering the bike with his claw arm. it would involve a decent amount of work and some putty, but i think the result would be awesome.
